When we started planning this past weekend’s live radio event we had no idea how it would turn out, especially as a few schedule changes had to happen very early on!
However, the atmosphere on the ship for the 4 live broadcast days (and a few days either side) was nothing short of electric! The audience response was fantastic, with so many messages coming in.
Did you know, we had over 60 hours of live shows over the 4 days, with two of those days having 20 hours of live shows in a 24 hour window! How many stations can manage that?
We did have a few pre-recorded shows, just three (!), but those three were great, and unique to that weekend. One, our Joe Meek Documentary, was a fully professional production, produced in-house for Radio Mi Amigo by Tim Wardley, Steve Scruton & Ian Wyatt.
We’ll be repeating a selection of our 60 hours on Thursday 21st August:
0700 Olly Kinvig Breakfast Show (Saturday)
1000 Chris Cooper (Sun – Radio Nordzee) (Sunday)
1200 Sounds of the Sixties with Tim Wardey (Sunday)
1400 Neon Nancy Light Ship Pop (Friday)
1600 Stephen ‘Foz’ Foster (Thursday)
1800 Duke plus many guests (Sunday)
